Waking nights support worker in Edinburgh
Are you a night owl? We need someone to support individuals who have complex needs and carry out some routine tasks. You would be expected to stay awake throughout the night.
- 20 hours per week
- £9.00 – £9.40 per hour
- Working in Edinburgh
You will be part of a fantastic team supporting our service users to live independently, enabling the people we support to lead fulfilling lives based upon their personal needs. You will have the desire and ability to build and maintain good relationships; and have an organised, collaborative and flexible approach to providing the best support possible. A positive, can-do attitude and great communication skills are essential. Does this sound like you?
A knowledge or awareness of the emotional and practical difficulties faced by our service users would be advantageous, but most important is your willingness to learn and to be creative in your approach to problem solving. Sometimes the work can be challenging, so a good sense of humour and the ability to remain calm in difficult situations is necessary.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain or develop your existing skills. If you can communicate clearly and sensitively with our service users and their families, and demonstrate an empathy for the Action Group’s values we would love to hear from you.
This is a part time role covering two night shifts per week. If you are looking to work more hours, we can discuss the possibility of working in other services too.
