Female Support Worker in Leith and Lochend/Restalrig
We are looking for enthusiastic and engaging Support Workers to help grow our Award-Winning organisation! The successful candidate will be part of a team of positive and flexible people supporting our female service users in the Leith area with personal care, food planning, and taking part in activities within the community.
- Location: Leith and Lochend/Restalrig areas
- £9.00 – £9.40 per hour, depending on qualifications
- Part-time and full-time positions (6 to 39 hours per week)
- Sleepover shifts are available and are paid at £72 per night
You will have the desire and ability to build and maintain good relationships; and have an organised, collaborative and flexible approach to providing the best support possible. A positive, can-do attitude is essential as well as good communication skills.
A knowledge or awareness of the emotional and practical difficulties faced by our service users would be advantageous, but most important is your willingness to learn and to be creative in your approach to problem solving. This will suit people looking for a part-time job, who are able to commit to work at least one day a week plus sleepover, but it will also suit someone that is looking to work full time.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain or develop your existing skills in an award winning, community focused organization. If you can communicate clearly and sensitively with our service users and their families, and demonstrate an empathy for The Action Group’s values, especially surrounding confidentiality, we would love to hear from you.
The right candidate will share the Action Group’s values of inclusion and equality and will have a person-centred approach to providing support. No experience or qualification is necessary as paid training is provided.
