Our West Lothian playscheme groups work with children and young adults with additional support needs to help them lead fulfilling, inclusive lives by broadening their experiences by having fun and enjoying being part of the community.  We are looking for an enthusiastic person to co-ordinate the group’s activities. We want an individual with a leader’s attitude that is able to create activity plans and guide the team through good practice.

  • Location: Livingston, West Lothian.
  • Hours: 31 hours p/w (Easter) and 39 hours p/w (summer and October).
  • Dates: Easter (2 weeks; 6 – 17 April), summer (4 weeks; dates TBC), and October (1 week; dates TBC).
  • Salary: £11.89 per hour.

The Playscheme Manager will promote and progress The Action Group’s Play scheme teams with a professional attitude and will ensure a friendly atmosphere within the team. The role will involve elements of research, engaging with current and prospective service users, local authorities and other agencies, and may include individual casework and advocacy.

You must have experience of support work and it is essential to be a competent user of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.  Previous staff management experience would be an advantage, but not essential.
