Day Support Worker
A great opportunity has opened in our popular Day Centres teams. We are looking for people to work supporting adults with accessing local resources, taking part in activities and pursuing their goals.
If you are looking for a role that allows you to be part of a dynamic team who engage in activities with service users and make an impact in the local community, this is your role! Welcome to The Action Group!
- Work available in various locations across Edinburgh city.
- 6 – 30 hours per week
- £9.00 – £9.40 per hour, depending on qualifications and length of service
- Shift times: 09:00 to 15:00, 11:00 to 16:00 and 12:00 to 17:00 (some training will take place outside these times).
This is a great role for someone with a proactive and positive mind-set! As a Day Support Worker, you will encourage our service users to take part in different activities and support them accessing them. You should have a can-do attitude and the ability to think outside the box! We want you to provide support, but we also want you to plan, organise and find activities in the surrounding areas.
You will share the Action Group’s values of inclusion and equality, and have a person-centred approach to providing support. Experience in a social care role would be an advantage, but is not required as paid training is provided.
- Travel time payable where applicable
- Mileage allowance where applicable
- 24/7 employee assistance programme, with access to free legal advice and counselling
- Good annual leave entitlements
- Ongoing support, training and development opportunities
The closing date for applications is 17:00 on Monday 2 March. This is a first come, first serve role, so we encourage all the candidates to apply as soon as possible.
